Frome St John the Baptist
The Parish Church of St John the Baptist at Frome is of ancient foundation dating back to an original church founded by St Aldhelm about 685AD.It is now one of five parish churches within the Frome Local Ministry Group area in the Diocese of Bath & Wells , and is especially linked with the rural parish of St Katharine, East Woodlands, sharing the same Vicar.
Main services:-
Sunday:
8.00am - Holy Communion,
9.30am - Parish Communion
Thursday:
10.30am - Holy Communion
Additional services for major Festivals, Saints Days etc as announced in notices and magazine.
Our annual well-dressing has been taking place on the Saturday
nearest the feast of St Aldhelm (May 24th in 2008) since 1985.
This year's theme is 'One Hundred Years of Christian Unity'
